Technical Support

When we are connected by our lovely members who have problems with some aspects of the website, 99% of the problems can be solved by clearing the cache within your browser or doing a disk clean up on your computer.

So to help you all, we want to provide a quick guide to follow before you contact us for support 😀

Internet Browsers

The internet is an amazing thing, but for our website to work well… the software you need to access our website must be up to date and its good practice to clear your cached files regularly.  Once a month at a minimum, this will mean your phone, tablet or computer will also run faster when browsing too.

Our website is built to work on the four major internet explorers

EDGE – used to be internet explorer. If you are still using IE, you need to remove this and download edge.

Firefox

Chrome

Safari – iPhones and Macs will use this. Although if you have an iPhone and a windows laptop, you could download the chrome app for your iPhone and use chrome on your laptop, signing in on both will sync the browsers.

EDGE

We would recommend just clearing your cache, but it is up to you what you clear. Please make sure you don’t clear your passwords! This would mean you lose your passwords stored.

If this does not work, and you are accessing our website via a windows based computer or laptop. You may need to do what’s called a disk clean up. If you do not know what this is, and you have had your computer for a while then you might have amassed a high volume of files that are not used any more and are slowing everything down on your computer. It is good practice to do this regularly. This will keep your system performing at its best.

Empyting the recycling bin is really helpful too, and part of the options on the disk clean up menu. BUT BE SURE you do not need any files in the bin.

Instructions are here for windows 10

If you use an older laptop, a quick google search with your operating system and the words disk clean up, will point you in the best direction.

If after taking these steps you have issues, please email us with a screenshot or video of the issue. Also please advise us what devices and which browser you are using to try and us the website. This will allow us to help you fully.  This information is vital!
